Perfect in every way and recognized as one of the wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal or ‘Symbol of Eternal Love’ as it is affectingly known is one of the most visited monuments in the world for its grandeur and splendor.
Built in Agra in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan for his late wife Mumtaz Mahal; who died at childbirth, the Taj Mahal is a representation of one of the most romantic tales ever told. Flawless and built of white marble, it is one of the best examples of Indo-Islamic architecture even showcasing Persian and Turkish architectural styles.




The LOVE STORY begins here : 
Back in 1607 AD, Shah Jahan , the Prince of Royal Mughal Empire, while strolling down the lanes of famous Meena Bazaar, accompanied by a string of fawning courtiers, caught a glimpse of a young pretty girl ,MUMTAAZ, hawking silk and glass beads. It was love at first sight for him . 5 years of passionate affair and then a marriage against the wishes of the King , they continued to live a fairy tale despite several battles of succession of the empire.
